Common questions

The same answers Jo gives on the phone.

Are you open 24 hours?

Our service hours are 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Saturday. The phone is answered any hour, every day, so you can always reach us and get on the schedule.

How do I know if my spring is broken?

The usual signs are a loud bang from the garage, a door that only lifts a few inches, a gap in the coil above the door, or an opener that strains and stops. Springs are under a lot of tension, so please leave them to us.

Do you offer same-day repair?

Yes. Calls that come in before 3 pm Monday through Saturday usually get a technician the same day. Later calls get the first slot the next service day.

How much does a repair cost?

It depends on what is wrong, so we do not guess over the phone. The technician diagnoses on site and gives you a written price before any work starts. There is a service call fee for the visit, and it is applied toward the repair if you go ahead.

The door reverses before it closes. Why?

Usually the safety sensors near the floor are blocked, dirty, or out of alignment. Check for anything in the beam and wipe the lenses. If it still reverses, we can realign or replace the sensors.

Should I repair my opener or replace it?

If the opener is over 15 years old, has no safety sensors, or needs a new motor or gear, replacement is usually the better value. If it is a sensor, remote, or trolley issue, repair is the way to go. We tell you which on site.

What warranty do you give?

One year on labor for every repair. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty. New doors and openers carry the manufacturer's warranty, which we go over in writing at the quote.

Do you service my area?

We cover Berea and about 25 miles around it, including Cuyahoga, Medina, and Lorain counties. If you are on the edge, tell us your town and we will confirm.
